To join Perth Actors Studio Talent, there are a few steps.

 

1. Email us your headshot​

A professional headshot is highly recommended. In this competitive industry, your headshot is your calling card - often the first impression a casting director or producer will have of you. A high-quality, professional headshot can make all the difference in standing out and being taken seriously for auditions and roles. More on headshots by visiting here

2. Casting Networks (not necessary for people only interested in Extra work)

Casting Networks is one of the three main casting websites in Australia.

www.castingnetworks.com is the platform that the vast majority of castings for film, television and commercials are presented to us.

​

Creating a basic casting networks account is free and simple. To appear on our Casting Networks roster, we will need to send you an invitation via email - this way you appear under our database of actors and therefore we can submit you for castings.

​

Make sure your Casting Networks profile has a current profile picture (headshot) and contains as much information about your acting history as possible in all the relevant sections (training, credits, etc)

Casting Networks is the primary platform through which auditions are managed from the actor's side. When we submit your profile for a role and the casting director is interested in seeing you, they will send an audition or self-tape request via Casting Networks.

You’ll receive an email notification once you’ve been requested. This will include all relevant audition details - such as the time, date, location (if in person), character breakdown, and any sides or materials provided.

Important: Please make sure to confirm or decline the audition request as soon as possible via Casting Networks. Delaying your response can result in your audition being automatically cancelled, and the opportunity may be passed on to someone else.

Prompt communication ensures a smooth process and shows professionalism to both us and casting.

3. Join our private facebook group, Perth Actors Studio Talent (recommended)

We occasionally receive urgent briefs for opportunities such as extra work, TV commercials, and role-play gigs. To ensure we reach as many people as possible, we post these briefs in our private Facebook group.

​

In addition to urgent jobs, we also share a variety of other casting opportunities in the group, including student films and independent projects.

​

Each post will clearly state whether the opportunity is paid or unpaid. For example, student films typically have little to no budget and may not be able to compensate actors. In such cases, we’ll include contact details so you can reach out directly if you’re interested in applying.​

4. Agree to the terms and conditions outlined below

 

Eligibility

Applicants must be legally allowed to work in Australia.

Minors must have parent/guardian consent and appropriate permits

 

 

We cannot guarantee success

Perth Actors Studio Talent does not guarantee work in the entertainment industry.
Success depends on a variety of factors including market demand, casting requirements, personal effort, and professionalism.

 

 

Work Conduct & Ethics

You are expected to arrive on time, behave professionally, and follow on-set rules for any job you accept. Failure to show up for a confirmed job without valid reason may result in removal from our database.

Any inappropriate behaviour, misrepresentation, or breach of contract may result in immediate termination of representation.

 

 

Payments

Payments for work are processed according to the production company’s schedule and may take several weeks. The agency may deduct an agreed-upon commission from payments before forwarding the balance to the talent; 10% + GST on Film & Television Series. 15% + GST on TV Commercials and Corporate. 

 

 

Privacy

Personal information will be handled in accordance with relevant privacy laws and will only be shared with casting professionals for the purpose of job placement.​​​
